SMA ConnectorSMB connector is smaller than SMA RF connector. SMB connector is designed to have snap-on coupling. Besides, SMB connector series are available for RF cable types, PCB type and edge mount type. SMB connector commonly is used for 0~4GHz (50ohm) and 0~2GHz (75ohm).

SMB Connectors is a smaller version of the SMA with snap-on coupling and was designed in 1960’s. The snap-on design permits rapid connection and disconnection in limited spaces.

50 ohm SMB usually is specified up to 4 GHz, and 75 ohm SMB connectors are specified for only 2 GHz.

SMB series was designed originally with female contact in male body or male contact in female body. These connectors are popularly used in telecommunication and automotive, GPS tracking, GSM cellular, WLAN equipments.
